Well I thought some might understand. The furnace thing started a few months ago. It wasn't quite 117 at that time. Sorry if I didn't spell out every little detail for ya. My last toyhauler had a WFCO and the trailer was 7 yrs old when I sold it and it was still running so I guess I don't understand your comment.
You commented previously that @ 80-90 it would go up in smoke anyways. There's a lot of them here in the desert that haven't smoked yet. If things wouldn't take 80-90* then we could not have anything here in this climate.

I currently have a wfco 55a. What would be a reasonable upgrade

What am I missing ?? Maybe that wasn't what it said !
If you had been on this forum very long, you would find not many OEM WFCO still running. Most were defective right from the get go, and if they weren't. they went up in smoke later. I really don't know of a bigger rippoff in the RV industry than the WFCO converter disaster.
Problem was they were installed as OEM because they were cheap. And worse yet, CW was selling them as replacement changeouts, also because they were cheap .But then I don't mean to be spelling it out for you.
I have been here for a few yrs but never had the need to get into this section as I never had any problems. But you guys have given me some good info. Sounds as it mine is acting up so a new one is cheaper than new batt or a fire or something so I will be replacing it soon. So i will research the ones that have been suggested. I wasn't trying to be a jerk I suppose I didn't tell the complete story & timeline in my post.
Thanks again to everyone for the comments.
Again, which one do you think would hold up in our extreem heat?
