Thanks, so are you confirming that it is bad to restart "too soon" before the caps have unloaded?
If so, can you clear up whether the DC voltage tapering down on shut off is related to that unloading so that its timing will be an indicator of when it is "safe" to restart?
Yes I get a good snap on start-up sometimes, not always. Scared me at first, being gun-shy from wrecking my previous 100amper :(
