Ok thanks, but now I don't have a timer for when it is safe to restart!
That tapering in DC voltage on shut down is steady drop not in bursts. It is like a bleeding off. I got the idea somehow it is capacitors unloading.
Anyway I am glad I asked this question and whether needed or not, I will wait a bit before restarting to let the input side cool off some.
I am thinking my old Paramode quit for some reason like that, based on the above reports, and maybe mena's just did too.
I use my "fast charging" converters pretty hard. OTOH, my installed 7355 is still going strong after ten years---but it never gets a real work out. I have run tests and got 56 amps from it, so I know it will, but in real life it seldom does more than 30 amps and tapers from there. Probably outlive the trailer :)
