The original thermistor is only rated for 9A and you could be operating at 13A. That's definitely too small. The new one is rated for 20A. Much better!
They also increased the on resistance from 2.5 ohm to 5.0 ohm.
The device likes to see a one minute cool down between on/off & on again.
The two 1200 uF caps looks OK. They're at the minimum of 1.5uF/W.
