Just to clarify:
The other day when I started it nothing happened except the red light showed on the on/off button on the lid. I took the lid off and there was the thermistor in pieces as shown in the photo.
The last time the charger was used was as described above on 25 Sep. The 100amper ran ok and re-started ok a few times (two or three can't remember) while I was seeing how many Vectors it took on top of the 100amper to pop the Honda's breaker.
( I was just asking for it wasn't I?) I shut it off at battery 90% SOC when amps had tapered down that far (25a ISTR) from the original 103a. all normal. Charger put away until taken out this time.
