If the hole is big enough then go for it.
Two 020's are a lot better than one 025. That's assuming the converter has 4200 uF input capacitance.

How is that different from putting their leads in the same holes in the board? You need bigger holes but there is room for that.
Ok, so would two 020s in parallel work with the newer converter that has the bigger thermistor now (possible 25a)?
