A comment to Salvo - In thinking about parallel operation, although the two devices won't share current in steady state - they will share during the time period it takes one to heat up more than the other. One will steal all the current in the long run, but as long as each has enough rating for steady state, a parallel connection might reduce the start up stress on one of the parallel thermistors just enough to keep it alive.
A series operation would probably make more sense, as you'd have a better handle on how much current and resistance you'll get, but parallel might have some benefits if you are only looking at start up.
