Calculate the RC time constant, and energy consumed, for me in a thermistor RC controlled circuit...
Since R varies with temperature, the Thermal Time Constant and absolute energy consumed is what is used...
Are you looking at the steady state and absolute specifications?
Can you provide the actual failed part number specification?
Can you provide a schematic with parts numbers?
Without this information, everything is speculation...
