OK troops, we can:
A. Put one 5R 020 (5R 20a 200/300J)
B. one 2R 025 (2R 25a 300/548J)
C. two As in series (10R...)
D. two As in parallel (2.5R...)
E. two Bs in series (4a....)
F. two Bs in parallel (1a...)
I got lost on what you get for Amps and Joules with series and parallel. I think I got the R right. ? Can anyone fill in the blanks? Thanks.
So as Einstein said, no sense repeating yourself expecting different results. So just replacing the existing thermistor could be doing that.
Which of the above choices( B to F) is a change to the status quo(A), but has the most chance of success, with the least chance of being worse?
Trying to find a middle ground here between the various options suggested by various folks looking at it different ways, or at least juggle the best suggestions of all to pick one thing to do.
