This morning same conditions, clamped on first, Honda Eco off, plugged in converter. (with its still somewhat damaged thermistor) Ran ok, no smoke or red spots, doing full amps. After 15 minutes the thermistor is still too hot to touch more than an ouch time. :)
Not doing a full recharge, breaking camp and heading home. Next camping likely be early February. Might be able to do some tests at home meanwhile, not sure. Anyway that's it for now.
