My only concern is that a lower initial resistance thermister will allow more surge current to pass through all of the series connected devices as the capacitor assumes its initial charge.
This higher level of peak surge current may not be a problem, but on the other hand, it may cause premature failure of the rectifiers and other series connected components.
Just something to think about.
