I am told to expect some info from PowerMax next week that should help. Can't get it now because there is some sort of holiday down there. ( :) ) Once I hear what the production model 100ampers are using these days, I can choose which way to go.
I got my 2R025s and contrary to the data sheets they are slightly thinner than the 5R020s I have been using, with the same diameters. Hard to tell the difference except for the writing on them. Whatever.
It would be interesting to lift the lid on a new 100amper and see if there are any changes to the circuit board layout from the prototype I have, which is changed from the older PM3-100 as I have shown earlier in the photos, but we'll have to wait for Mena to buy his and get him to take it apart for us and take pictures. :)
Be real careful taking the lid off--the thin voltmeter wires will break away and need to be re-attached if not careful, and also the voltage adjustment knob wire (a coax) that goes over to the vertical board is kind of short so the lid cannot be far away when off. I broke that coax off from the board and had to do a repair--ugly, but it works again, and the wire is now longer too--lesson learned!
ISTR we had some photos of a WFCO that WayneD took for playing with the three pots for the three stages? Several years ago. Who's good at searching?
