I'll have to pull out my 7355 and take a look.
I was wondering if the "mass" part of the thermistor is "live" or just the wires inside it and the legs. If not live then it could be leaned against the big metal heat sink in the converter? The leg wires are flexible so it would be easy to push it over to lean on the heat sink if that would help with overheating. The remark above suggests it would short against the heat sink though.
I guess it would be easy enough to look for 120 with a meter on the surface of the mass before trying that though.
