Diode bridge spec
Non-Repetitive Peak Forward Surge Current = 300A
Max voltage = 170V
Minimum resistance = 170V / 300A = 0.56 ohm
In all probability, the ac source resistance is already greater than 0.56 ohm. That means you don't need a thermistor. My Iota doesn't have one. Surge current is 75A.
