I haven't tested that, and don't plan to. I'm worried that the 16.5V will cause damage. I can keep the voltage in the normal range by making sure the battery disconnect is not in the OFF position. I'll re-test later with the normal voltage to make sure nothing has been damaged. I'm not sure how long it may have been in the high voltage state over the last year since none of us were aware of the problem until recently. However, so far everything seems to be working properly.
Since I think the initial issue of why am I getting 16.5V from a 12V converter was answered, I started a new topic regarding updating the converter for use with solar, 4 stage charging, and isolated 12V and 120V systems.
