Get the 80 amp and they have them on sale at adventure rv
The answer actually depends more on your batteries and your isolator
For a pair of GC-2 with bi-direwctional isolator (Motor home only) 80
For Group 31 pair in parallel Go with 80
For group xx less than 31 (2 in parallel) go with 70
How to decide on your own.
Find battery 20 hour amp hour rating (C/20 rating) NOTE: Wal*Mart does not use this rating so look it up on say Interstate or US-Battery .. Make really does not make much difference, SIZE does, also cranking amp;s are not important only 20 hour amp hour rate or as close as you can get
Group 24 73 amp hour
Group 27 and 27 Just a bit under, and over 100
Group 31 `
GC2- Pairs or 4S (12 volt) 220 give or take 10.
Now total your amp hours.. Multiply C/20 capacity by 0.30 and that is the size of converter you want, or close to it.
Source: Xantrex.. NOTE: This applies to flooded wet not AGM (Go big on ABM)
Note 2: Using that formula with brand new GC-2's I found I did not need water often,,,, I upped the battery size some over the last decade and my new DEKA G-20s have gone over `8 months without asking for water.
