As said it is an inverter/charger and will work exactly as described. Many RVs come OEM with inverter/charger set up. However they tend to be larger in the range of 2000+ watts inverter and 80+ amps charging and need four+ batteries to operate properly.
But honestly I prefer separate components and recommend a small separate inverter and separate transfer switch. Easy to wire in to the existing outlets if you have done any home wiring before.
