The converter chargers that most RVs are supplied with are miserable little things. Like a few other responders I have a pure sine wave Magnum 2kw inverter charger.
All 12V needs will be taken from the battery bank. The 3 stage inverter charger recharges the battery bank as needed. There are various ways to supply the 110VAC side to the 'house'. I wired mine to the main panel which supplys everything.
The down side of that arrangement is that somebody has to remember to leave the water heater & fridge on propane when drycamping otherwise the battery bank will be dead in no time.
