Converting 30amp twistlock to 30amp Rv? How?
I have a 30 foot 10/3 cord that has a 3 prong twist lock male that goes to my Yamaha ef2800i generator and a female that plugs into a transfer switch in my garage for storm related backup power. However, the 2800 is proving marginal, struggling to power up the 10,000 btu ac and the small 6 gallon 110 volt water heater so I want to use my two Honda eu2000s in series but the Honda with the Transgen adaptor takes a 30 amp RV plug, not a twist lock.
What is the best way to convert my male twist lock to a 30 amp rv plug? I would like to preserve option of both so cutting off and putting a new rv plug is less appealing. Is there an adaptor plug u recommend or something else easy ? We were hit by Irma and trying to make this happen soon, no power to 6 million people
