I get a #1 clipper haircut. It confuses the eye. The chicken on the other hand scares off seventh day adventists. They even stopped leaving Watch Tower (in Spanish) on my porch. Lifelike latex chicken from the states. Stops salesmen in rheir tracks. Too high up for kids to reach.

picked up the new 75a boon docker at UPS this morning
arrived too late yesterday afternoon for me to make the run over there

will install tomorrow/Sunday morning

and yes i thought about the adjustable model, but the compartment is a bit crowded, and there are a few things that might bump the "KNOB", I didn't want to take that risk
so i went with the standard model,
i have the solar and the Vector 40amper if i want to boost voltage

Mine has a boost button but I can't reach it.

A bit off topic, does your 68100 have a button on the front to put it in boost mode? Mine does but it doesn't seem to work since new camper was bought in August. I don't use it anyway as I have installed my TrueCharge2 40A. The TC2 goes to 14.4 VDC for 4 hours when it is turned on.

Without the adjustable voltage, the regular 75 amper will get the batts to 14.6 volts and then drop to 13.6v for the absorption stage.

--Actually, it will get the batts to less than 14.6 by whatever the voltage drop is at 75 amps on the converter to battery path. The converter will "see" 14.6 but the batts might be at 14.4 or whatever.

The key now is what the battery SOC will be when that happens which depends on the charging rate. That is the size of the bank in AH vs the 75 amps in the Bulk stage. I don't have Mr Wiz's bank size (ISTR it is large), but with that the SOC at the end of bulk at 75 can be predicted.

Since Mr Wiz usually changes over to solar following an initial gen/charger session, it then becomes a race to get to high enough SOC at the 75 amps before going to solar, and whether that will work out for Mr Wiz's routine. (depends on how much more sunshine time is left in the day by then)

So it could work even without the adjustable voltage feature, "depending".

The 75 amper and the VEC1093DBD can be used together with no problem giving 115 amps in Bulk plus whatever solar is doing, say solar is 10 amps, so now Mr Wiz could be at 125 amps. when the 75 drops to 13.6, that leaves solar and the VEC for doing the remainder at 14.8 at say 50 amps or so --solar may be more now mid-day to add to the VEC's 40 than it was in the morning.

Now it depends on the bank's size again when that 50 or so amps start to taper

Maybe the 75 amp boondocker will come with a 100 amp sticker and you can just 'roll with it'.

Surprised you did not go for 100 amp, unless you do not have the length requirements for it.
