Costco 6V GC battery specs?

Costco in Medford, OR last monday.

I use a bipap and sometimes we dry camp 3 nights. The 2 - T105s we had 10 years ago would do it fine and so did the napa 6gc specialty batteries that we had next. Then I tried the costcos and I had to add solar to help them out. I don't believe their ratings. The solar was a good idea regardless but I won't buy Costco again. I will try Dekas next. The guy I get batteries from says they have the most honest ratings on them and they are made here. Craig

Demand less government regulation and you end up with John D Rockefeller and Leland Stanford, ethics. COSTCO and WalMart have no freakin' way in the world to verify origin nor anything else but weight. Railroad train cars of made in Mexico plates and sub assemblies never mind batteries can roll into Johnson Controls or US battery and under NAFTA they do not have to declare it if they glue the lid onto the battery. Get the picture.

Wanna hear silence? Get on the blower and ask these companies: Is any component of your XXXXX batteries not manufactured in the USA? If so what is the percentage of the accumulator made or assembled outside the USA ?

Interstate is Johnson Controls, but Costco buys from both them and US-Battery and possibly other companies. (not sure) sometimes the battery is re-branded, sometimes not, all depends. Same with Sams. but emphasis there on "I do not know" the name of the primary supplier.

There are really only a few battery makers in the US. But rather than make a fool of myself, I won't post a list.

Johnson makes a lot of "3rd party" (Store brand) batteries.

My Sam's club GC2's are clearly marked "Made in Mexico".

Nothing junk about a Rolls battery! Best in the business.

If 208AH is enough. About the same AH as a pair of 27s. Agree that is a U-1800 spec.

As You know you can go as high as 232AH (U-2200 spec) but perhaps pay more. Seems different Costcos and different Sams have quite a variety by location so availability/distance from you counts too.

Would they answer the question with silence also, if you called up or emailed Trojan batteries about construction of T105's accumulators?

The ones in our coach, bought in southern AZ, and the ones in our local Costco are Interstate and plainly marked as such.

To add to the mix, if you have a local Interstate factory store, they will match the local Costco price every time on their batteries. I replaced our coach chassis batteries this year and got a quote from Costco, then went to the Interstate store and had them installed at the same price.

The interstate dealer near me will not touch a Sam's interstate. I was told they are mfg to Sam's specs and are not as good of quality as the ones sold @ the interstate store. BS or truth I'm not sure.
