My original point was, batteries (Cosco batteries) are so inexpensive, they are a throw-away item. I don't need to nurse them or pay any attention at all to them. It's plug-n-forget. I got more important things I can do. Just add water once a year.
The old GC2's were over 4 years old. I just happened to check the specific gravity of them last week. All cells were in the (lower) "green zone". I'm sure the batteries could have lasted at least a year longer. But I did notice a slight capacity loss. Why deal with a little capacity loss when new batteries can be had for less than two tanks of fuel. :h
