2 GC 220's at 50% charge. It will take several hours at 14.8 volts for the batteries to charge to 100%. There is -nothing- wrong with using a timer with a charger. I do it myself. If you seldom connect then why not rig your rig for it? A 4-hour safety timer-limit works for me. A Fast Automatic Charger is an oxymoron. Choose either or "Full Charge" or "Smart Charger". Boondocking means exactly that: Wilderness. Organization. Planning. Auxillary chargers have gotten a real workout in this forum for a reason. I do know some folks who take the easy road. They habitually undercharge their golf car batteries and resign themselves to buying replacenent 3 cell batteries every few years. Their logic is not challengable except for environmental abuse.
