Thanks for all the quick responses. I will have to add up how much power I will use. The primary thing I would like to keep running is a 1.3 amp 120 volt electric fridge running when I am not there. I also would like to be able to run a microwave a few minutes here and there without having to run the generator.
As far as the controller go I have seen the cheap ones on ebay and wondered how well they work compared to something like a morningstar or blue sky? I just want it to work, but don't need a bunch of extra features.
Also is there a benefit to going to a 24v panel over 12v for what I need?
