I've got 5.5 years on two Sam's Club Energizer GC2's. Still going strong. And that's after running them dry twice and having them hooked up to a cheap solar on/off charge controller for the first two years. When they die I'll buy two more just like them, unless I can find those Trojans for that price in my neighborhood.
