When I first aquired my Pace I had replaced the 4 6v batts with Sams Club batteries. That was over 5 years ago & they are still going strong! I did also change out the converter. Original eas a dumb charger, I swapped it out with a Progressive Dynamics PD9100 with Charge Wizzard.
I did see a prior post asking what a charge Wizzard was;
The built-in Charge Wizard is a microprocessor-controller that constantly monitors the RV battery voltage to determine if the battery requires a quick recharge, is fully charged and being used, or is fully charged and is in storage. The Charge Wizard then selects one of four operating modes (Boost, Normal, Storage, or Desulfation) to properly re-charge or maintain the battery.

Progressive Dynamics converter been very very good to me! LOL
I did also add a Trimetic unit to keep an eye on what the bats are doing. A real cool tool!
