Good idea about lighting differences. At home its running in the kitchen, but camping its outdoors on a little table. Maybe the ambient light from outdoors is overwhelming the sensor. Ill put some cardboard on the little window tomorrow.
As far as radio equipment, just a cell booster antenna about 10ft away... Maybe the microwaves are causing malfunction? Doubt it but...?
