He has been dry camping on generator forever. Last year he bought 2 90 amp portables here ($380 each) in Qzs, which is what got me interested. I just put some tracking thoughts into mine when I built it last Mar-Apr. My 190 watt is all I need,.....except for a couple shady days I have 1 hr genset time.
180 watts (2 portables) has not worked well for him. (big TH w/ 32" TV etc etc)
Reason being why he added the 240 watts now. It seemed to do well today,....said he saw 14 amps for a short time, plus the portables.
I know these places in Qzs have a terrible reputation for outrageous prices, only because they can do it here in the short season. And this guy says, "its only money", and doesn't want to do it himself.
I was just curious. We (and he) know he could have done much better moneywise.
And maybe work quality too, you guys know more about that. But I know I dint like the glue to rubber roof, and the 22 ft wire to the batteries, would really be a no no for me. And I believe the voltage would have been too high too for the controller to go in series hi volts I'm still confused about this controller, their choice, not his.
