cruise control problem when towing

We've got a 2005 tiffin on a workhorse chassis. The cruise control was disengaging when using signal lights. Thanks to the forum, I found the problem to be corroded sockets in brake, And tail lights. All is well - - - when not towing.
We tow a 2006 Ranger and cruise control is very erratic. Sometimes it wont engage. sometimes it disengages for no apparent reason or disengages when using signal lights..
I'm told there may be a bad ground somewhere.
Not sure how to track that down. Please advise.
