I tryed to recharge my dash air with one of those big cans of ac pro refrigerate.I hooked it up as per directions and while pressing the trigger the clutch on my compressor started clicking like crazy...

What should be done is the low pressure cutoff needs to be jumpered then start charging the system. That pressure guage will be different based on ambient temp. The screeching could be that the clutch engaged when pressure got up enough to turn it on and the compressor is frozen and that was belt screech
