Date on Propane Tanks
Where do I find the date on a propane tank and is the meaning obvious or do I have to decode it? If so, how?

Every time I have my tanks filled, they look at the ring and see something and proceed to fill the tanks. What did they look for? I know the date is on them. The date is 12/02 which means they were built in Dec 2002. Nobody cares around here and the time before I filled up at a U Haul in Florida. Never looked twice. I really think this is a non-issue. that somebody is doing a lot of worrying about. Could be wrong, but not usually. Tanks are in a fiver away from weather so no rust or dents. Look like new.
