Propane TANK...........non issue. They are NOT required to be re-certified.
Propane CYLINDER.......re-certification required 12 yrs AFTER date of mfg.
Date of mfg. is stamped on safety collar
Propane info
Propane CYLINDER.......re-certification required 12 years AFTER date of mfg.
This is not true on all I have 2 cylinders made by BernzOmatic that stated to be re-certified at 10 years, yes it was stamped on the collar. One other thing I can think of is, it is a 5 year certification if their is a E stamped after the date of the re-certification.
I just had these 2 cylinders re-certified with in the last two weeks.
That is the MFGs re-certification requirement which can be less than DOT requirement but NOT more than DOT requirement.
'E' indicates 5 year
'S' indicates 7 year
'RIN Mark' indicates 12 year
Thanks Old-Biscuit,
I think this info. is good for all of us with older cylinders that have been rectified to know. Thanks again. John
