Daydreaming (Ultra High Amerage Latching Relay)

  • Unfortunately it would not be inexpensive
  • Bakelite housing
  • Gold plated copper terminals and nuts
  • Inside gold plated copper terminals and contacts
  • Servo momentary quarter inch movement
  • Retain contact force would be an N52 neodymium magnet size three quarters 25 cents stacked one atop another
  • This is approx nine US pounds of pull
  • Soft landing buffer spring just like in standard electromechanical relays
  • Rough draft calcs indicate such a relay would handle 500+ amps and not use one nanowatt when servo is not in operation.
