- MrWizardModeratorwe have inverters, the PC and phones charge from the inverters
but i would like one to 'tinker' with, i can think of several times in the past when such a Gizmo would have been handy
like to make a replacement laptop charger - AlmotExplorer IIIWith 5A max output, you will need one of those for each DC device. 95% efficiency is shown for one specific mode. I recall another gizmo like this, the efficiency was all over, ranging from 95% to 70%, depending on particular V and A. Makes me wonder if $20 inverter wouldn't be better and simpler... Wired to all your AC sockets...
- MrWizardModeratori will probably end up with one

I bought it.. :)
i like it - HiTechExplorerUnfortunately this spurred me to buy a buck converter to go with my boost converter. I have been good and conserving on spending, but for $9.99 shipped with 12a I had to get it. MPP(manual T) controller experiment 2.0 on the way.
Jim - MrWizardModeratorbuild your own laptop DC power supply
filtered 12vdc, for NON automotive electronics that want 12.0v NOT 13.6>14.4v - HiTechExplorerTop off one battery from another with almost no efficiency loss, for example. Boost voltage from a sagging battery bank to a little inverter without alarming. Power something like a TV more efficiently than plugging the AC power supply into an inverter. Lots of fun things.
Jim - Alfred622ExplorerNeat gadget....but what would you do with it in an RV?
- MrWizardModeratori like it
- HiTechExplorerWow awesome 6 or 12 v DC to DC 5 amp charger with a huge voltage range. And 95%+ efficient, with a voltage display.
For $14.
Good find.
