Well, so-much for my recommendation. Thanks grizzman! With some stuff that's how I learn -- post something and if it's not skosh someone will come along and politely pop my balloon.
I did buy a Marinco plug and it is heavier than a standard plug. It needs to fit on my Respironics BiPAP cord and that's not much of a load.
RC plugs and sockets are good for interior. I sure like the cross split pins that can be engorged by prying wider with a tiny screwdriver.
For exterior, nothing I've seen up to 12 gauge wire capacity can hold a candle to a WeatherPak connector.
