difficult shades
The day/night shades in our RV are very difficult to move up and down..It takes one person on each end to operate them..any ideas on what I can do to make them play nicer??!!!

- We've restrung 3 of our shades now. Our 5er is a 2009 model. If you take a look at where the strings are attached under the shades. Mine have a round plastic thing with a screw in it. You can loosen or tighten the string by loosening the screw and to tighten pull down on the string and to loosen, pull up on the string. You'll have to experiment with the tension to get your shade to work the way you want them to.
- Take a look at MCD shades. Spendy but super easy to operate.
- One of the lines broke on ours. Was thinking of restringing with fishing line. Think it might open & close easier. Just need to goole the issue & try & find out what lb test I should use.

Yes, string is too tight. Too loose and they will drop, too tight and takes a fight.
Had to resting one of mine. Got to see how it works. When finished it would not move, then realized needed some play in it.- Thanks,I will check that
- If they're like ours, you can take one wrap of the string off the lower post. Do both sides. This should loosen them up, hopefully not so much that they fall down on their own.
