Digital Dometic thermostat trick in Texas heat...

Neither. This is for the air conditioning and heater units in some recent (2010 and newer) travel trailers. This thermostat controls both, as well as a heat pump or a heat strip if one is present (although one has to specify those when ordering the thermostat.)
