Digital Meter Ergonomics

This isn't about the specific meter. It's about mini meters and light emitting diode color and the ability to resolve numbers in bright sunlight. It really makes a difference with smaller (.7") numbers.

Of course digital apparent brightness would be a factor in a bedroom if shining in your eyes.

Look at the three sample color meters on the bottom. Which color resolves numbers best? It works that way in real life.

File this under helpful hints...

  • I get what Mex is saying
which color is easiest for 'your' eyes to decern the digits and read

when choosing a meter, choose a color that is easiest for you to read in daylight
which one looks the sharpest and most contrast to 'your' eyeballs

    multitude of colors are available

in each the following set of images, a different meter color is the most dercenable for me, the easiest to read is a different meter in each picture

  • I picked up this panel off wish.com but i also picked up two others that have dual USB ports with a volt meter as well off Wish in one single hole, that also have a flap that covers both the usb port and the meter, like this one,
stuck one inside a closet , and another up by our bed .
