Pay to not have it fixed? Sure thing. I would never charge someone if I had not given them something. They brought it to me to fix it. If I didn't fix it why would they owe me anything.
I also paid out of my pocket if I screwed something up. Rebuilt an old Dodge power wagon front drive axle and probably messed up on shimming the pinion bearings and smoked everything. I ate $700 and did it over and apologized for the inconvenience. I never had a lack of work either. That must have been the old days.
