Direct DC power to Trailer

I recently found that my power converter from 120 ac to 12 v dc was defective. I purchased a replacement WF-8955MBA and installed it but there is an extra green wire that the original inverter did not have. After installation I find that the inverter works well but the direct DC power does not work. Is it a problem with not installing the converter correctly? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  • I checked my installation of the converter and all was as shown in the installation manual. I then used a multi meter and checked my voltage on the battery and it was charged. I found my problem at the fuse located next to the battery on the travel trailer. Once I replaced the fuse and cleaned all of the connections everything is working well. Thank you for your help it made a difference.
  • After reviewing the manual I believe i followed the steps as described but will check again. Thankyou for the help, once i have checked again and also checked the incoming voltage I will let you know how things turned out.
  • Is there a link from the Green Wire on your previous post? I am trying to open with no success.
  • Should add that the unit you changed out is a converter and not an inverter.
Have you checked for incoming 120 volts AC to the converter?
  • The old model was 7155, I connected the green wire to an empty slot with the ground.
  • What make and model was the old converter?
Where did the "green" wire go on it?
    Is the chassis ground wire?
