Shirley you jest. The only smart device I own is a Trace 4024 and it's a laugh when it comes to returning the cells to 25.4 saturated volts within my lifetime.

Buy an Iota. Remove the cover and the warranty coverage. Look for a pot.

BTW- I talked to the IOTA guys several years ago about tweaking a charger to use it as a 24v float across a bunch of AGM's and got the same warranty speech. They seem to tell you once they are reasonably sure you're not a knucklehead..

400-amps at 28 volts. The two lifting eyes are no joke, I had to beg the use of an engine hoist (highway robbery) to fit the alternator to the frame. Total weight engine, alternator, regulator, external rectifiers, about 415 pounds. The engine is 24 horsepower and I have a huge suction fan on the utility building. The air-cooled engine is fuel greedy so I rely almost entirely on the water cooled Kubota.

Defaults to lower voltage when bulk E limit is reached?. Power Pole Princess use allows the use of a 30 amp converter. Start a generator and the whole world changes.

This is for the poor guy stuck with a half dozen golf car batteries and a Clark Kent converter. There is nothing more bitter than forking out a few hundred dollars additional for the same model generator purchased a few years before. My gensets do not DARE lean on a shovel.

Pull a plug? I'd much rather twist a timer dial.
