DirecTV HR44 Problem
I took the first dry camping outing with the HR44 and ran it on the gen which meant it was turned off when not in use. About half on the power on’s resulted in a No Signal message which was resolved with a receiver reset and once with a receiver power off/on sequence.
The SWM coax connections were tight and there is no apparent reason for this problem. Since this is a new receiver my off/on experience is limited. For over 2 years there has been no problem with the HR24 receiver on SWM. I have no reason to suspect the gen and the HR44 has an external brick that supplies DC to the receiver.
Anyone else had a similar problem with their HR44?
I now have a splitter installed and next month’s trip will include the HR24 for a direct comparison.
Otherwise the HR44 is a significant improvement over the HR24. 5 channel recording, channel changing is half the time and scrolling through the guide is lighting fast. At home it’s connected via WiFi to my router for internet access for YouTube, etc, but no browser.
