Disabling the converter charger when using the inverter

Apologies if this has been answered but a search didn't help. If I install a disconnect switch in the positive lead from the converter to the batteries, will this create a problem? This would b...

It would sorta work in that the converter would not charge the battery. However the converter would still power the 12v items in the RV. Far better IMO to put the 9800 on a separate 120v breaker and use the breaker as a switch when using the inverter.
