Do you have the Hopper or do you have a 622? 722? 722k?

I have no Hopper knowledge.

If it is one of the others, is the Channel selected to send TV2's signal to the remote location and the channel the remote TV is tuned to the same?

Assuming they are the same, change them to a different channel - not adjacent to any OTA channels in your location.
