Dish rec’r No Satellites found using new 2000w inverter

Hooked up receiver at home and it took ony a few minutes to reset and get all the channels. I wonder if there is something wrong with the Winegard Pathway X1?

That is where I was suggesting problem earlier and got shot down. I looked at Winegard manual for your antenna. It indicates your dish uses state and not zip code. I also see where your dish needs software updates done manually.
I would remove dome and check for connections for tightness. Verify power connections in dish.

Thanks, that's what I'm going to do this weekend and run a direct line from the receiver to the Winegard Pathway X1. But being back home and not at the campsite may not give the same results. The campground where this problem occurred is at Rincon Parkway in Ventura California where you camp alongside the beach with full and open sky. No way the rooftop sat can be blocked.

M ight call Winegard today for advise as don't believe they are there over the weekend. They may give some insight.

I believe I found the cause of the no satellites found. When we got home last night, I moved the dish receiver inside the house and set it up with no issues. This morning, I moved it back to the MH and tried it and came up with no satellites found again. I ran coax directly from the receiver to the rooftop sat dish and it worked and quickly. I then isolated the cable by running the coax from the rooftop connector to the sat dish and it woked. So I have replaced the rooftop coax from the rooftop connector going to the sat dish and it works again. So it was the rooftop cable causing the sat dish not to find the satellites and not the inverter or power supply.

Good you fixed the problem. BUT, you stated it worked fine on Shore Power and not with the new Inverter. Replacing that Coax would not have fixed the problem. What Gives? The Inverter only supplies power to the Sat Receiver and has nothing to do with the Coax cables. IF the coax has indeed fixed the problem, then the 13 to 18 volt pulsed signal test I want you to do would point up a bad coax at the Sat Dish itself. My test requires you to test the output at the reciever. IF that was good, then you disconnect the Coax AT the Sat dome/dish and test for that 13 to 18 volt pulsed signal. IF you do not get that then your coax is indeed compromised. Doug

Get yours straightener out you can do mine. I have to run cable in the window or no sat.

More apt to be a bad connector then a bad cable.

It makes no sense. The DW doesn't want me going up on the roof, for now. So I can't do that check. But to further add to the unexplained, my friend who lives 15 miles due east of the beach campsite got a new satellite dish and Wally. He has been able to get quick setup of the satellites when at home. But when he comes out to the beach he has the same issue, "No Satellites Found". He joined us last week and we both had the same issue. I can't find any logical explanation for this. He was using shorepower at home and the generator at the beach > Used shoreline power at home and generator and inverter at the beach. But when I did the test at home, I used inverter and generator. Makes no sense. Only option left is to test voltage as you advised.
