RV air conditioners often already have larger capacitors.
Part of the microair includes a capacitor. The main "gain" is that the fan starts up first. Then after about ten seconds the compressor starts.
What is the length of time on the 4k peak?
When I was having problems with the Magnum 3000 watt, one of the technicians told me that they really don't recommend running air conditioners from them. He suggested going to 24 volts dc and a 4000 watt inverter/charger.
