Funny thing is I was heavily involved in RC planes for 15 years and never saw one of these meters. Some thing have changed in 10 years I see.
You are solving for X instead of Y. Maybe try paying for it with PayPal when ordering, let them handle the financial details, buffering you from the credit card problems.
Life is full of financial problems, it's how you get the folks that offer the service to resolve their problem with unauthorized use, not your problem. I have my bank text me every time my credit card is used. You'll almost always get texts and phone service, where you might not always get emails and 3G or 4G service.
