The thing is they design telecom batteries for least maintenance and exemplary longevity. Many telecom batteries see few cycles before they are retired. The trick is knowing how to test them before purchasing.
There is resting voltage depending on temp.
Discharge battery X amp hours. Recharging should need to replace 110% of amp hours used and no more.
Second test is with adjustable carbon pile load tester.
