Sorry to hear about the cat niner. We had to put one of our schnauzers down a few years back, it was harder than I remembered with the last set 13 years ago.
20% would be harsh, we use more than 30a over night anymore. I wonder if it's 20% for the best health of the battery or 21% and it is damaged. I hope you get out and get some real life test in soon.
