Day 5 or 6 of camping... and I seem to pull 24 AH out of this battery in 24 hours doing nothing at all. I am up near Butte, MT, and it was 42F in the campground this morning at 8 AM. I am thinking with TV and such, lights, heater from time to time, at least 50 to 60 AH are being used by me? I am not being conservative, I am just using what ever it is I want to use.
This battery does NOT accept big amps like other AGM's, for reasons unknown. Not a lot of heavy thick .105" or greater plates makes for slow charging AGM's? My Mega 30 would stuff a Trojan T-1275 with 38 amps at start up, and come down to 29 or 30 amps in 30 seconds.
Regardless of temp, and with my voltage set at 14.4V, this AGM will take 21 to 20 Amps when discharged voltage was at 12.38V, and fully charged, this battery sits at 12.86V
No idea why, but running this on the Eu2000i, with 5 days of clouds is a huge gas suck, wish I had my Eu1000i just for charging, but it won't run the microwave too. Didn't haul both of them with me, so the thirsty Eu2000i will have to do.
I want some sunshine to see how the 150W solar panel treats the recharging of this battery, maybe Monday the clouds will be gone, and hopefully the smoke stays away from all the North West fires too.
